Our Mission

Every St. Joseph Catholic School parent or guardian is a member of the Parent Teacher Organization.

Mission
The Parent Teacher Organization will maintain a close relationship between the home and the school, encouraging all parents to participate actively in their children’s faith formation, education and school activities.


Objectives

Parents Club shall:

Nurture and encourage a warm, friendly environment and enhance communications among parents, students, teachers, staff and administration of St. Joseph Catholic School.

In cooperation with the Pastor, Principal and the Family Life Director, plan regularly scheduled religious celebrations to encourage the participation and enhance the religious practices of the school parents.

Encourage a Christian attitude of charity and humility, and the generous sharing of our Time, Talent & Treasure at all Parent Club activities.

Regularly schedule “Educational Enrichment” assemblies for our students, helping to further enrich our children’s education environment (i.e.: Opera, OMSI, Mad Science, Theatrical and Dance assemblies, etc.)

Regularly schedule “Community Building” social events for our school community, helping to foster a strong sense of community for students, parents, administration and teachers (i.e.: Sock Hop, Field Day, Advent Program, etc.)

Regularly show our teachers and staff appreciation for their dedication (i.e.: Welcome Back Luncheon, Teacher/Staff Appreciation Luncheon, etc.)

Coordinate extra-curricular classes outside regular school hours (i.e.: Fencing, Christian Youth Theater (CYT), knitting, Mad Science, Red Cross, etc.)

Assist the Development Office with school functions as requested (i.e.: New Family Welcome, Back to School Night, Catholic Schools Week, etc.)

Every St. Joseph Catholic School parent or guardian is a member of the Parent Teacher Organization.  All are welcome to attend monthly meetings to gather, socialize and discuss topics of interest.

PTO raises funds with a holiday wreath sale, book fair, box tops/Campbell’s Soup collection, restaurant nights, sock hop and NEW in 2011 St. Joe's Spirit Shop.  With funds raised, donations are made to the classrooms and the library; educational assemblies are scheduled and staff is assured of how much they are appreciated.
