OVERVIEW
The St. Joseph Catholic School hot lunch program operates on all full school days. Each day there are three options from which your child can choose: (1) Main entrée or (2) Yogurt meal, both of which include all side dishes listed on the menu; or (3) Salad bar, which includes a roll, various protein choices, and many fruits and vegetable to choose from. Each meal includes one 8 oz. 1% milk or one 8 oz. non-fat chocolate milk. Student lunch is $4.25, adult lunch is $5.00.
The monthly menu is posted on the school website. Teachers take a lunch count each morning and record each child’s lunch choice. Students are also able to order milk if they have cold lunch brought from home.
Parents are welcome to have lunch with their children. If parents will be joining us, we ask that they please call ahead by 10 a.m. and let the office staff know which menu option you would like. This is important so that we are sure to have enough hot entrees for everyone.

PAYMENTYou can make lunch account deposits online with the secure online service MyMealTime. Click here for information & instructions to setup your account, including low balance notices.
We also accept checks or cash to be deposited to student accounts. If you send money, the payment should be sent to school in an envelope marked with student's name(s) or dropped off at the office. You may use one check to pay for more than one child, just indicate the children’s names and how you would like the money applied. MyMealTime accounts should be set to send low balance alerts. Monitor your lunch account to ensure your child does not have a negative lunch balance. Students who have negative balances that haven’t been addressed may receive an emergency lunch which consists of a cheese sandwich and a milk. Each child is given a unique lunch PIN number that will be used throughout the years at the school. This PIN is used to purchase lunch or milk each school day. If students forget lunch, they can charge a regular lunch for the day. St. Joseph Catholic School does offer the NSLP, a Federal Lunch Program for those in need. This is a confidential program. If you believe you might qualify, please obtain an application located on the school website under Forms & Publications or ask for one from the school office. Note: The lunch program only covers one entree and milk alone is not covered. |
FOOD ALLERGIESWe ask that parents be sure to list allergies or intolerances on the Allergy/Intolerance Form included in the school’s summer forms. If new allergies/intolerances arise, please let us know, we will help you update your allergy form. We do not serve peanut products, although we do serve some items that are processed in plants that process peanuts. If a child’s allergy is life-threatening, please make sure it is noted on the Allergy/Intolerance Form.

VOLUNTEERSThe hot lunch program is always in need of more parents to lend a helping hand with serving, preparing foods, and receiving/putting away food and equipment. It is a great way to earn share hours, and the children are happy to see their parents serving lunch to their classmates. Any time you can spare between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Suzy Knight, cafeteria director, 360-696-2586 or [email protected].
