MISSION
St. Joseph Catholic School, a secure and loving community centered in Gospel values, partners with our families and parish to develop the spiritual, academic, and social growth of each student in order to support and encourage all of our students on their path to becoming moral, educated, caring adults, well-equipped to carry on the mission and message of Jesus Christ.
PHILOSOPHY
St. Joseph Catholic School endorses the call of the Catholic Bishops of the United States to express its educational ministry through the three objectives: personal spirituality, social justice, and a strong academic program in accord with Christian values. This commitment extends to building Christian community and fostering Christian service.
St. Joseph Catholic School is dedicated to offering students a well-rounded, Christ-centered education in a caring school community, while affording them the opportunity to serve as Jesus did. Catholic doctrine, traditions, and values are taught in daily formal religion classes and are integrated into all subject areas, but most importantly, permeate the entire climate of the school. We at St. Joseph's believe that children learn best in a secure, well-managed, and nurturing environment. We affirm that each child, created in the image and likeness of God, is blessed with unique gifts, talents, and needs. Our calling is to draw out these gifts and attend to these needs in order to afford each child the opportunity to develop to his or her fullest potential. The faculty, staff, and administration of St. Joseph’s support parents as the primary educators of their children. As partners in this venture, we realize the importance of preserving and strengthening the crucial link between the home and the school. Our calling as a Catholic school is to offer our students an environment in which they can learn and live their faith as part of a secure, loving community so that they will grow to become moral, educated, caring adults, well-equipped to carry on the mission and message of Jesus Christ. |
